From there: Taxis, Uber, and Lyft ($40-80 depending on time of day). Larger groups can book shuttle service ahead of time, and rental cars are also available.

Benefits/drawbacks: Usually more expensive to fly into, but you’re almost there.

Benefits/drawbacks: Although you may have to contend with traffic, one highlight of travelling to/from SFO is crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. The views are epic.

**Flight booking tips based on Google Flights:

East Coast: You may consider flying into STS and leaving from SFO. This tends to be cheaper and offers more comfortable flights (less stops, shorter durations, better arrival times). To avoid red-eyes, consider visiting San Francisco on Sunday and taking an early flight back on Monday. We will share an online document for folks wanting to share an Uber/Shuttle into the city on Sunday.

West Coast: There are direct flights from Burbank/LAX/San Diego Airport to STS operated by Alaska Airlines. This is a very convenient option with flight times ranging from 1.5-2 hours. Alaska Airlines currently offers $50 off for new Mileage Plan members.

Distance from Los Angeles: approx 7 hrs

What to note: Most of the drive is straight and easy. Try to avoid going through San Francisco between 3-7pm to avoid rush hour traffic.

Distance from Mammoth Lakes: about 7 hours

Monte Rio and its neighboring towns are rural areas with small populations; as such, please expect additional wait times when relying on taxi or rideshare services. We don’t want anyone to drink and drive, so we will be coordinating transportation from central areas to our wedding and rehearsal events. More information to follow.

Parking: Parking at our wedding and reception venue(s) is limited, but there is public parking 5 minutes down the street in front of the Monte Rio Recreation & Park District. Make sure you stay in the upper lot because the lower lot (by the beach) is locked after sunset. There is also some street parking in the areas across from the venue.
